The average woman is not as strong as the average man. In hand-to-hand struggle, even if she goes to the gym five times a week, the woman is probably going to lose...Unless she has a gun and knows how to use it!
Shooting gives a woman a sense of equality, a sense of safety, a sense of being in control of ourselves. That sense of control is empowering and is something we should seek in other aspects of our life. This, along with the "tough woman" image of shooting guns, gives us a more positive self-image, which is a powerful thing.
The firearm industry is meeting the demand by downsizing popular models originally created for larger hands. Lighter weight, smaller profile handguns suited for the hands and concealment needs of woman are top sellers.
In my class I have a great assortment of handguns to choose from if you don't already have your own. We will find the right fit for you! It's more fun than shoe shopping...well, almost!
I also highly suggest a self defense course and you can email me on the contact page for more information.

In July 1995, the North Carolina General Assembly enacted a Concealed Carry Handgun Law that allows qualifying citizens of North Carolina the opportunity to obtain a permit to carry a concealed handgun. As a provision of this legislation, the individual must complete a required training program in the use of deadly force, carry a concealed handgun and demonstrate proficiency in the use of the handgun.
With the right under law to carry a concealed handgun, comes a tremendous responsibility. The owner of a handgun must have complete knowledge of handgun safely, knowledge of the laws regarding use of force, and the ability to use the firearm safely and in a responsible manner. Finally, and most importantly, is the ability to use good judgment in any facet of handgun operation and use, whether in self-defense, practicing the fundamentals of marksmanship, or basic gun handling.
To be a Concealed Carry Permit holder in NC you must be 21 years of age and valid NC Drivers License and not be…a convicted felon, or under indictment in any court for a crime punishable by imprisonment for a term exceeding one year, I am not a fugitive from justice, I do not use or addicted to any unlawful controlled substances, I have not been adjudicated as a mental defective or have been committed to any mental institution, I am not an illegal alien, have not been discharged from the military under dishonorable conditions, have not renounced my United States citizenship, am not subject to a court order restraining me from harassing, stalking, or threatening an intimate partner or child of the intimate partner, and have never been convicted of a misdemeanor crime of domestic violence. I also further attest to the fact I am not currently under the influence of any substances that may hinder or impede my actions in handling a firearm safely for the intended purposes of this course.
What you need to bring...

The first step to learning personal safety is accepting the fact that we live in a dangerous and violent world. To think otherwise is both naïve and irresponsible on your part. In the violent world we live in today, you actually have only two choices...forget about it, cross your fingers and hope for the best or accept the responsibility of learning to protect yourself and your loved ones from the realities of violence that surround you every day.
